I met Mr Ciano at SSC when presenting a Vet Day celebration. My father had been there and was retired military, WWII vet so Leigh Griner and I gave photo show celebrating his life. She showed my W Va show until I was able to get to the home and he was quite touched by that show with the music and pictures so I gave it to him. We laughed over the fact I thought he was from WVa and was missing the scenery but no, he just loved the presentation. Leigh gave you a picture she took of us together. I was out of town and was quite saddened when she told me on my return. In that brief visit I enjoyed talking with him and am so sorry for your loss. My father died 4 Jan 2008 and all is still too fresh but we survived our first holiday season. I pray for your comfort at those times. Paulette

To Ciano family, Sorry to hear of Peter's passing. I worked closely with Peter at the Port Authority. Maybe he retired to Savannah because he and I inspected construction of the new cable-stay bridge there when we were planning the new Goethals Br? Don't know, but do know that he was a super person. sincere condolences from Leona and me, Lee Goodman
